CNC Operator Senior

Summary: Come work with us! American Photonics manufactures and services replacement lenses, new and replacement accessories, that are compatible and will fit in the main OEM market. We are ITAR registered and ISO 9001 Certified. Must have the ability to understand and edit G Code. Must have the ability to lead and direct machine operator trainees. Must have excellent eye/hand coordination as the material is a soft crystal and the pieces are often very small.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set-up and operate a variety of CNC machines to perform assigned tasks.
- Produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.
- Review samples, drawings, or instructions to understand specifications of output
- Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job 
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping
- Select appropriate machines (e.g., mills) and position or load material for a job · Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine etc.
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
- Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects · Keep records of approved and defective units or final products · Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

CNC Operator Junior
