Thin Film Coating

Precision Optical Coatings for CO₂ and Infrared Applications

American Photonics Corporation (APC) designs and manufactures high-performance thin film coatings optimized for CO₂ laser systems and infrared optical applications. Our coatings are engineered for durability, spectral precision, and high laser damage resistance across demanding industrial and scientific environments.

CO₂ Laser Coatings (10.6 µm)

Coatings on Zinc Selenide (ZnSe)

Optimized for CO₂ laser optics, cutting systems, and beam delivery components.

Available Coatings:

  • AR at 10.6 µm
  • Dual Band AR: 10.6 µm & 633 nm (HeNe)
  • Dual Band AR: 10.6 µm & 650 nm (Diode)
  • Beam Combiner: 10.6 µm & 633–650 nm
  • 50% Beam Splitter at 10.6 µm
  • Partial Reflector at 10.6 µm

Applications include laser cutting, marking, medical systems, and beam alignment assemblies.

Coatings on Silicon (Si)

Designed for high-power CO₂ laser mirrors and specialty reflective components.

Available Coatings:

  • 0° Phase Shift Mirror at 10.6 µm
  • 90° Phase Shift Mirror at 10.6 µm
  • Enhanced Silver (10.6 µm & Visible)

Ideal for beam steering, polarization control, and high-reflectivity mirror assemblies.
