Fused Silica - Protective Windows - Fiber Laser
We have the best protective windows to protect our focusing lens against contamination. Our protective window is a barrier (debris shield) between the lens and the metal sheet
What is Fused Silica?
Fused silica is the glassy form of quartz and is thus isotropic. It is tough and hard and has a very low expansion. Normal varieties contain water which gives strong absorption in the IR. Water-free varieties are available.
See below for the application and their equivalent to other Fused Silica supplier and our prices our usually much lower.
optics operating in the deep UV and the visible wavelength range
It is practically free of bubbles and inclusions.
FUSED SILICA WINDOWS
Fused silica windows are a clear choice for optical applications requiring:
A high degree of purity
Superior environmental durability
A low coefficient of thermal expansion
Outstanding resistance to thermal shock
Excellent transmission from the UV to the NIR
Exceptional hardness for demanding applications which require a high degree of flatness
Due to these unique properties, fused silica windows are used in many industries including aerospace, astronomy, military and commercial avionics, medical and scientific instrumentation, academics and research, as well as industrial applications. They are an excellent choice for laser applications, spectroscopy, photolithography, vacuum windows, and many other numerous applications.
In-Stock Fused Silica Windows
